Games I like to play

I love board games. Always have and probably always will.
The first games I remember were of course Ludo and The Game of the Goose. But later I started playing Stratego with my dad and learned how to play chess. Our next-door neighbour was Dutch and organized a chess club every wednesday afternoon. I also loved Scrabble, Risk and Monopoly.
But the fondest memories I have of playing a game similar to Trivial Pursuit. I don't remember the name exactly, but it was German and I played it in Gross Grönau near Lübeck with my German penpal Christel and her younger sister Tienchen. It was quite a challenge, and I really wanted to win ![]()
Maybe that is the reason why my mind is filled with trivial stuff that nobody cares about.
Like : "In Greek mythology who is Nike?"
or "Are there any bones in the body that don't connect with other bones?"
or my favourite : "According to Japanese legend, a sick person will recover if they fold 1,000 of what type of origami?"
